Wailing Caverns

Wailing Caverns is a level 17–24 dungeon in the Barrens with eight bosses and a rare elite. In WoW: Forever the Fanglords drop the reworked Embrace of the Viper set, and several quests have new reward choices.

Pick these up before you go in. Mob XP in dungeons is reduced in WoW: Forever, while dungeon quests give much more XP than in Classic.

  1. The Glowing Shard: speak with Sputtervalve, the goblin next to the flight master in Ratchet.
  2. Climb to Falla Sagewind on the hilltop above the Wailing Caverns entrance.
  3. In Nightmares: Horde turns in to Hamuul Runetotem (Elder Rise, Thunder Bluff). Alliance turns in to Mathrengyl Bearwalker (Cenarion Enclave, Darnassus).
Objective
Find out what the shard is and deliver the Nightmare Shard.

  • (2) +10 Intellect
  • (3) +10 Attack Power
  • (4) Taking damage at or below 25% health restores 100 health and mana over 5 sec. Once every 5 min.
  • (5) Melee attacks have a chance to inflict Dream Venom, stunning the target for 1 sec.

Hidden 5-piece bonus: a Druid's Cat Form turns into a large serpent.
